Chimney Rock

Location: 20 miles southeast of Asheville, North Carolina
Features: Mountains, waterfall

Chimney Rock is NOT a must see. It's a real commercial tourist trap, although it doesn't offer anything special. They charge you a fee of 10$ each at the entrance and tell you that they have one of the highest waterfalls around. Bad thing though is, that this waterfall doesn't carry enough water to be a real attraction. Of course, it's high, but it only dripples, you can't even speak of running water...
Although you have a nice view from the mountain (weather permitting), the whole thing is a total waste of money!
