On your way to the Grand Etang you'll pass the small village of La Plaine-des-Palmistes from which a short side trip leads to the beautiful waterfall Cascade de Biberon. From the picture above you can pretty much tell the distance from the parking lot at the road to the base of the falls. Still, the trail is very muddy in places and you have to cross a small river. However, 30 minutes to one hour should do it to the falls which is located in a very pictureous setting.
