Lysefjorden

Location: between Oanes and Lysbotn, east of Stavanger
Features: fjord

View of Kjeragg from the bottom of the fjord

A ferry trip through the Lysefjord either from Lysebotn to Oanes or vice versa is a absolute must! You get to see Kiragg and Preikestolen towering a mere 1000 meters above you and if the captain is in good mood he's going to drive the ferry very close to the fjordwall to show you a small cave. The latter is actually not that exciting but they make a big deal out of it. Nevertheless, it's a very relaxing trip through this beautiful fjord and absolutely worthwhile...besides that, you don't want to drive the whole way back by car from Lysebotn to Oanes.
